  • AboutHello, and welcome to my games blog! I’m longtime gamer, starting with the Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600, right through my formative years with the Super Nintendo, and all the way up to current and recent generation consoles. On this blog, I make observations about games from my personal point of view. I write from a feminist and anti-oppression perspective, and I have a particular interest in how social and cultural issues intersect with games. Some games I’ve really enjoyed: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Dance Dance Revolution Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem Guild Wars Guitar Hero Ico Katamari Damacy Metal Gear Solid Metroid series, especially Super Metroid Rock Band SingStar I enjoy non-electronic games. I used to LARP (World of Darkness) and I play Dungeons u0026#038; Dragons when I can. I also write for The Border House, a feminist blog focused on the perspectives of gamers who belong to marginalised groups. I’m fairly active on Twitter, and I have written an FAQ for interactions with me there. More About Me I live in the United States and work in the videogame industry as a community manager. This cute series of comics, The 31 Days of Zero Suit Samus was brought…

  • 2012 Gaming Highlights

I played some outstanding games this year, and I’d like to call out a few of them. Guild Wars 2 Guild Wars 2 is the eminently worthy successor to the original game, of which I’m a big fan. Set in a fantasy world 250 years after the original game, ancient dragons have…

  • #1ReasonWhy: Thoughts and Link Round-Up

An interesting conversation thread happened on Twitter last week. Someone who works at Kickstarter as the specialist for games projects asked why there are so few women working in the games industry. It’s a huge question, one that seemed like a borderline troll question, given this person’s apparent disingenuous and…
