The 24-hour head start event for Guild Wars: Factions took place yesterday. For everyone who had a pre-order key, there were quests commemorating the cessation of the Tengu Wars. This celebration takes place on the Day of the Tengu. To get a Tengu Mask, a unique item customised for one’s character, you had to collect 250 Naga Fangs and give them to Emperor Kisu. The Naga, the hated enemy of the Tengu, were threatening to disrupt the celebrations by attacking the area surrounding Shing Jea Monastary (the starting area in Guild Wars: Factions). There were quests related to the Day of the Tengu. Naga Fangs were awarded upon completion of these quests. Naga Fangs also dropped randomly from slain Naga.
I brought my character over from the Guild Wars: Prophecies campaign. I had a hard time making my way from Kaineng Center to Shing Jea Monastary. Canthan streets are confusing. I spent about an hour trying to find the way to Shing Jea Monastary without success, and time was of the essence. Luckily one of my friends helped me out. He also gave me a whole load of Naga Fangs. Emperor Kisu appeared every three hours to exchange Tengu Masks for Naga Fangs. Unfortunately, I did not have time to complete the quests, because my wireless connection kept dropping out (and usually it’s so good as well). Thanks to the generosity of my friend, a random person from The Boat Crew [boat] guild, as well as buying spare fangs off of someone, I was able to gather enough to exchange for a Tengu Mask.

That’s a pretty cool Tengu mask. I know how much you wanted one. Argh, hopefully the internet will work later…
That looks neat! Can you dye it to match the armor?
Actually… Yeah, I think I read somewhere that you can dye it.
it took me forever to get enough fangs, because i started a new character. My assassin looks pretty smoking with it though.
