Woo hoo:

Thank You,

GameStop/EB Games Customer Service

Not only is Guild Wars Nightfall being released this weekend, but Mad King Thorn will also be at Lion’s Arch for his demented festivities! Apparently we will be getting new and different Hallowe’en headgear this year. Last year, people received the Pumpkin Crown. I didn’t get one, sadly. This year will be different, though. I will get my souvenir from the Mad King.

Guild Wars plans for the weekend: create Paragon in Guild Wars Nightfall and quest a bit with that character, then do the special events quests and such in Tyria with main character (and possibly my mule as well).

I’ve been sorely tempted to take a game’s release day off in the past, and this time was no different, but in the end I didn’t file for the vacation day. I am slightly envious of Xugumad, who is taking Friday off for Nightfall.

Also, Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade would not be released until next year. This means I have more time to get my level 40 mount before it comes out. I doubt I’ll buy Burning Crusade, but I read rumours that the quest for Warlocks’ level 40 mount, the Felsteed, may be changed. Am kind of paranoid that they may change it so much that we have to pay for our mounts, but since I don’t obsessively read WOW stuff, my casual search for information has revealed nothing else. I do know that everyone will have to pay for their flying mounts.

EDIT: My Nightfall Collector’s Edition is scheduled to arrive on 26th October according to the UPS tracking information. W00t!

I heard that the halloween event was going to be “modest”, so I’m a little doubtful that there will actually be special event quests for halloween.

That’s too bad, but I’m still looking forward to it.

If I could, I’d be sorely tempted to take Friday off. But that’s not going to happen.

However, the kids are out on Saturday for an extended playdate. I wonder what I shall do while they’re gone… hrm, it’s a total mystery.

Not everyone will have to pay – druids get a flying form which gives the same speed boost as the flying mount. So we won’t have any need to buy one.

Can you carry passengers? :P (I know you can’t, but I wanted to ask anyway.)

Haha. That’d be amusing. A new way for druids to make money! A personal taxi service!
