By Our Powers Combined, We Are…


I am back from my yearly tour of duty staffing at Otakon. It will take me a little while to recover and to tie up the post-con loose ends, but I am looking forward to playing Guild Wars regularly again.

The members of the Callers of Cthulhu [Cthu] guild are in the process of migrating to The Conclave Order [CO]. We decided that it would be sensible to join a larger guild with a similar playing style and focus.

I had been speaking to my guildmates for a few months about this migration. Xugumad, who I know from university, suggested the move. He leads The Conclave Order. The idea made sense to me, but I had to discuss it with the rest of the guild. Some were more willing than others. I did have mixed feelings about leaving Callers of Cthulhu, because I formed the guild and thought up the name, but in the end they agreed that it makes sense to team up and pool resources with more people.

I kicked everyone out of Callers of Cthulhu, promoted the only guild member who no longer plays Guild Wars to the position of Guild Leader, and then left my guild. I accepted the invitation to Conclave Order and I was promoted to Guild Officer. I then issued invitations to the former members of Callers of Cthulhu. Once everyone accepts their invitations, we will be assimilated.

Thanks, knight37. :D Heh. So today Joystiq linked to the post that Aeropause made on the 5th of August which I originally posted on the 24th of July.

I don’t have a Metroid tattoo. :) If I got a tattoo, I don’t think it would be Metroid-related. That would be so nerdy, and I’m not a nerd. :P Honestly, I have never been able to think of any good tattoo options for myself. I’ll have to keep hoping that a good idea will pop into my head sometime.

my guild had to do the same thing really. “merged” with a larger guild, retained none of the power though. theres plenty of advantages to running with a larger guild, but i miss being close knit. plus i have to watch my behaviour, and be nice. better than a completely inactive group though

Knowing him, he’d probably get a kick out of it. Master of all he surveys and so forth. Hehe.

I don’t think I will be seeing him in-game anymore, though. It’s been seven or eight months since he logged in, last time I saw. After he hit level 14 or so, he decided he didn’t enjoy the game.
