GDC 2006 Pictures

Some pictures I took at the Game Developers Conference 2006. Not nearly as many I would have liked to have snapped. Should have been better about that.

Considering whether to put up all my pictures of myself and other Conference Associates. I have nearly 70 pictures from GDC total, and more than half that number are of CAs. Do people still value anonymity on the internets, or do they enjoy being seen by the world?

I’m sure they love being seen by the world. Especially if they’re caught candidly in weird poses ;)

Post them and just use first names or leave them off entirely – preserves anonymity and we still get to see dodgy pics.

If the pictures aren’t portrait-style, or particularly “intimate” (extreme close-ups), then they generally have the “feel” of the event, and people don’t mind having their pics posted. If that makes sense…

+1 for first names only. Unless you know them very well, or they have some kind of public life (like Will Wright).

That is one fine pile of swag.

And I think in the Age Of Flickr, if you take someone’s picture at a con … they’ve given defacto permission for it to become someone else’s wallpaper.
