I Have Arrived

Here I am at my spiffy new location!

I posted about the possibility of the move from my Blogger blog just recently, however I originally started looking at getting my own domain about six or seven months ago. I did reasearch on hosting options at that time, but I decided to postpone the decision so that I could deliberate.

My usual gaming bloggery will commence forthwith.

I have a few more administrative tasks to do before everything is configured exactly the way I want it, but these things will take place over time.

Things to do:

• Install WordPress

 

• Import old posts and comments from Blogger blog

 

• Get StatCounter plugin

 

• Get Technorati tags plugin

 

• Get Technorati tags plugin to work

 

• Get BloglinesReader plugin

 

• Get BloglinesReader plugin to work (PHP skillz lacking, gave up; maybe I will revisit this later)

 

• Categorise all old posts (time-consuming)

 

• Update URLs of images in old posts (relatively time-consuming)

 

• Update URLs in old posts which reference other posts (extremely time-consuming, unsure if I should bother)

 

• Edit template to display date and time in my preferred order

 

• Add links to sidebar

 

• Add “Meta” section to sidebar

 

• Add “Syndicate” section to sidebar
  

 

• Add information to “About” page

 

• Claim blog on Technorati

 

• Tell LiveJournal to update syndication feed address
  

 

• Update web site address information on all profiles, everywhere

 

• …?
